Template header

The optional top part of a WhatsApp template: a short line of text, or an image, video or document shown above the message.

A header sits above the main text of a template. It can be a short bold line of text, or media: an image, a video or a document such as a PDF. Location headers are also possible for some uses. The header is chosen when you create the template; the actual image or file can be supplied when you send it.

A media header changes how a message is received. A product photo, a receipt as a PDF or a short video draws far more attention than text alone, and a document header lets you deliver an invoice or ticket inside the chat.

Use headers that add information rather than decoration. Keep images clear on a small screen, keep files small enough to download on mobile data, and make sure any media link you use points directly to the file.
