SMS that arrives under your name, not a random number
Send one-time codes, alerts and campaigns as your own sender ID, approved for each country and message type, and see whether every single message was delivered.
Your sender ID, approved the right way
Customers trust a message from your brand name more than one from an unknown number, and in several markets an unregistered sender is blocked or rewritten by the network. So on Marichi Talks every business sends only as its own sender ID.
Each sender ID is approved per country and per message type: transactional, promotional or OTP. We collect the documents, prepare the letter of authorisation for you to sign in the browser, and track the request until it is approved.
Where you can send today
SMS is live for Zambia and Tanzania. Business verification comes first, using the registration and tax documents each country asks for, and those documents are reused for every sender ID you apply for.
Three kinds of message, kept apart
Networks treat message types differently, so you choose the type for each send and it must match an approved sender ID.
- OTP: login and payment codes that need to arrive fast
- Transactional: order, payment and appointment updates
- Promotional: offers and announcements to people who agreed to them
Delivery you can see
Every message has its own delivery report. A long message is split into parts and priced per part, and you can see what each one cost in your wallet. Customers can be added to an opt-out list for your app, which is never applied to OTPs so codes always go through.
From the console or your own code
Save templates for the messages you send often, run campaigns to a contact segment, or send from your own system through the developer API using an API key.
Questions people ask
How long does a sender ID take to approve?
It depends on the country and the network operators, which review each request themselves. Marichi Talks shows the request's status so you know where it is.
Can I start sending before my sender ID is approved?
No. We do not offer a shared sender, because some networks block or rewrite unregistered senders and your messages would not arrive as you.
How is a long SMS charged?
A long message is sent in parts and each part is priced. Using special characters or non-Latin scripts makes each part shorter, so the same text can need more parts.
Will you support more countries?
Zambia and Tanzania are first. Other countries, each with its own registration rules, come later.
