A verified badge Meta may grant to notable businesses on WhatsApp, showing customers the account is authentic.
The green tick, also described as an Official Business Account or verified badge, appears next to a business name in WhatsApp. It tells customers the account belongs to the brand it claims to be. Meta has been moving to a blue verified badge across its apps, so you may see either colour depending on when and how it was granted.
It is not automatic and it cannot be bought from a provider. Meta grants it to businesses it considers notable, and looks for things like coverage of the business in independent news or publications. Business verification and an approved display name are prerequisites.
