Meta's check that your business is real and matches its legal documents, needed for higher messaging limits and the green tick.
Business verification is a review Meta runs on your business portfolio. You submit your legal business name, address, phone number or website, and documents such as a certificate of incorporation or a tax registration. Meta compares them and either verifies the business or asks for more.
An unverified business can still use the WhatsApp Business API, but with a low starting limit on how many customers it can message in a day. Verification is usually the step that lifts that limit, and it is a requirement before you can apply for the green tick.
The most common reason for delay is a mismatch: a trading name on the portfolio but a different registered name on the documents, or an address that does not appear on any of them. Use the exact registered name and make sure your website or documents show it. Marichi Talks also verifies your business during onboarding, which is separate from Meta's check, and our team can help you prepare for Meta's review.
