The maximum number of unique customers a business can start conversations with in a rolling 24 hours, set by Meta in tiers.
Messaging limits cap how many different customers you can send business-initiated templates to in a rolling 24-hour period. Replies to customers who wrote to you are not limited this way. Limits come in tiers: a new, unverified business typically starts around 250, and verified businesses move up through higher tiers such as 1,000, 10,000 and 100,000 unique customers, up to unlimited.
Meta raises the limit automatically when you use a good share of your current tier while keeping a healthy quality rating. Meta also adjusts how limits are measured from time to time, including applying them across a business portfolio rather than per number.
To grow your limit, complete business verification, send to opted-in customers consistently, and keep quality high. If you plan a large campaign, check your current tier first; a send to more people than your limit allows will leave some messages undelivered.
A business on the 1,000 tier schedules a campaign to 4,000 contacts. Around 1,000 can be reached in the first 24 hours; the rest need to wait or be split across days.
