A scannable code that opens a WhatsApp chat with a business, often with a pre-filled message, from print or a screen.
A WhatsApp QR code encodes a click-to-chat link. When a customer scans it with their phone camera, WhatsApp opens to a chat with your number, with your chosen message ready to send.
QR codes connect the physical world to WhatsApp: shop counters, receipts, product packaging, delivery vehicles, posters, event stands. They let walk-in customers become contacts you can help later, without anyone typing a number.
Print the code large enough to scan from a normal distance, add a short line saying what happens when scanned ('Scan to order on WhatsApp'), and use a different pre-filled message per location so you know where each chat came from. Test every printed code on two or three phones before a print run. Marichi Talks includes a QR code generator for WhatsApp chat links.
