Template rejection

When Meta declines a submitted WhatsApp template, usually for content, formatting or category reasons that can be fixed and resubmitted.

A rejected template cannot be sent. Meta usually gives a short reason. The most common causes are easy to recognise once you know them:

Wrong category, such as an offer inside a Utility template. Variables placed at the very start or end, next to each other with no words between, or with no sample values. Vague wording where it is unclear who is writing or why. Requests for sensitive data such as full card numbers or passwords. Content that breaks WhatsApp's commerce or business policies. Broken or redirected media and links. Near-identical copies of a template you already have.

Read the reason, fix the specific problem, and resubmit, often under a new template name. If the rejection seems wrong, Meta allows you to request a review. Keep a short internal checklist based on past rejections so new templates go through cleanly. Template status in Marichi Talks shows which ones were rejected so they do not sit unnoticed.
