The version of the WhatsApp Business API that Meta hosts itself, so businesses and providers do not run their own WhatsApp servers.
Early versions of the WhatsApp Business API had to be installed and run on servers you managed. The Cloud API is the hosted version: Meta runs the infrastructure, and software talks to it over the internet using standard web requests. Meta has since retired the self-hosted option, so new connections use the Cloud API.
For a business owner, the effect is simpler setup and fewer moving parts. There is nothing to install, updates arrive from Meta, and new features such as WhatsApp Flows reach you without a migration project.
You still need a way to use it: an inbox for agents, a place to manage templates, a record of who opted in, and somewhere to see what each message cost. That is the job of a platform built on top of the Cloud API. Marichi Talks is an official Meta Tech Provider and connects your number through Meta's own sign-up, so you never handle server settings yourself.
